Teacher education is related to the level of classroom quality. We prefer our lead teachers to have or be willing to obtain the minimum of a two-year degree in early childhood education or a related field. Assistants must have the NC early childhood credential or be working towards obtaining the credential. We understand that talent comes in many forms. While we value education, we also highly value years of experience in the classroom. We evaluate every candidate individually to determine the best possible fit for our students and our team. Salary will be negotiated based on your background and expertise.



Teachers will complete 16 hours of orientation before assuming their teaching role and will complete twenty additional training hours each year to stay current in the field. All staff members will also participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) which will identify areas of growth and determine a path toward enhanced teaching, learning and practices to achieve better outcomes for children, staff, and our program. The CQI process builds over time, using established goals to support individuals in achieving and sustaining continual improvements. This process will also include completion of five hours of coaching or mentoring.
